Cyma Musarat

 

Cyma Musarat is a successful entrepreneur and a philanthropist, she is passionate about public service and wants to inspire next generation of female leaders. Cyma is a proud wife and mother of two beautiful boys.

 

She holds a masters degree in Child Development and Psychology. In addition to her work in the construction industry, she is also President of the Friends of SOS Children’s Villages Canada Toronto and Chairperson of the SOS Marigold gala. Fifteen years ago, she and a friend conceived the SOS Marigold Gala while sitting in a coffee shop. Since then, SOS Marigold has hosted many successful black tie events, tea parties and film premieres, including the Oscar-nominated documentary, God Sleeps in Rwanda. Whether it’s a devastating flood in Pakistan or India or an earthquake in Haiti, Cyma and her team are there to help. They have raised close to half a million dollars for SOS Canada, which has helped hundreds of disadvantaged and orphan children throughout the world. For her efforts, Cyma was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012
